OUR STORY/DIRECTOR’S NOTES: EAP 9.2026
Our world may have changed over the years but the stories of the peanut’s gang are timeless. Just like us, they are worried, bossy, quiet, scared, mad, sad, funny, serious, loving, and annoying. They care about each other and want to do their very best. Sometimes they have bad days and lose confidence in themselves. They explore life’s biggest questions (which is still only 5 cents btw), stumble the football kick regularly (it’s still rigged), lose hope, and dream about their crushes every day. The more things change, the more they stay the same as we see in the life and times of the peanut’s gang. Just like adults, kids’ lives can be complicated. In the words of the Peanut’s creator Charles Schulz: “It’s better to dread only one day at a time, the secret of life is simply hanging around until you get used to it, don’t worry about the world ending because it is already tomorrow in Australia, and all we need is love but a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
