  4. Nuts are already cracked for us today but they used to help people shell nuts.
  5. Have you ever been to the theatre at Christmastime? Chances are it’s been to see The Nutcracker ballet. It’s about a nutcracker doll that’s given as a gift to a young girl. On Christmas Eve, it comes to life, battles the Mouse King and transforms into a prince who brings the girl to a magical land. The brilliant Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky composed the music. He made other famous works like Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet.The ballet is famous for its fantastic story, fierce battles and so many dance styles they’ll make your head spin. 
  6. Story: It’s Christmas eve.  Marie’s family is opening gifts.  She gets a nutcracker as a gift which she thinks is ugly but she loves it anyway. Her brother breaks it by trying to crack nuts which makes her sad. She goes to sleep but wakes up to strange noises. She sees a bunch of mice running around and a Mouse queen with seven heads. Just then, the nutcracker and other toys were jumping down from the cabinet. Marie threw her shoe at the mouse queen to save the nutcracker and then she fainted. Marie woke up. She tried to explain what had happened in her dream before but no one believed her. The very next morning, The Prince of Toy land was at the door. Because of her kindness, the nutcracker turned into her crush who wanted to marry Marie. And so, Marie became the princess of Toy land and lived happily ever after.
