IT’S JUDD 3RD GRADE RECORDER TIME!!

IT IS TIME TO BUY YOUR 3RD GRADE RECORDER!   YOU CAN BUY ONE FROM MS. PERRYMAN AT SCHOOL OR BUY ONLINE! RECORDERS ARE DUE FRI. OCT. 28TH!

CHOOSE BELOW:

1. BUY FROM MS. PERRYMAN: Buy a recorder and recorder strap from Ms. Perryman.  Bring $10 in cash to school in an envelope with your name on it.  Choose a recorder and recorder strap to keep.  Colors include red, blue, purple, and ivory.  
2. BUY ONLINE: Go to amazon or to google.  Type in “soprano recorder” and “soprano recorder strap.”  You can find many different colors online.
3. USE ONE FROM HOME: You are welcome to use a recorder from a friend or family member.  Please note, dollar store recorders usually don’t work.

My name is Ms. Perryman. I am the general/choral music teacher at Judd School.  I look forward to an exciting musical year with your child! All Judd School 3^rd Grade students learn to read music by playing recorders during their music class.  The New Jersey Core Music Curriculum Standards include:  learning to identify and read musical notation, performing in a musical group, and beginning music composition.  3rd Grade Students bring the recorder with a strap to wear around their neck to music class each week for instruction. Students will begin to learn to read music and play various songs in music class. We will begin recorder instruction in October.
