MARIA: Would you please tell me all your names again?

LIESL (lee zill): I’m Liesl. I am too old for a babysitter. 

MARIA: Me too, Liesl.

LIESL: You don’t seem like a nanny. You are kind of… nice. I guess. 

MARIA: That is kind of you to say. 

LIESL: I can’t wait till you meet my friend, ROLF. (Rall-ff)

FRIEDRICK: You mean, your boyfriend!

KIDS: Oooooo!!!!

LIESL: You are such a child!!!

MARIA: Tell me about you, young man.

FRIEDRICK (free-drick): I’m Friedrich. You won’t like me.

MARIA: Really? That is good to know. 

LOUISA: I’m Brigitta (brihgeeta) and we have a special present for you…..

MARIA: Oh really? Nice to meet you, Louisa.

LOUISA: How did you know? You are smart. 

BRIGITTA: I’m Brigitta. That is a very ugly dress.

KURT: Brigitta, you shouldn’t say that.

BRIGITTA: Why not? Don’t you think so?

KURT: Yes. It is the ugliest dress I have ever seen.

MARIA: Thanks for being honest with me. What is your name?

KURT: I’m Kurt. I am going to be your best friend.
MARIA: Thanks for the warning.

MARTA: I’m Marta. I love unicorns. I have even seen one!

MARIA: Me too!

GRETEL: I don’t like being last!

MARIA: I understand.

GRETEL: I am Gretel and I can do everything better than my brothers and sisters!
