Students are allowed ONE unexcused absence unless they are absent from school.

MONDAY REHEARSALS @ 8:15 (Start Mon Oct 1st/Student council attend non SC Mondays)

TUESDAY REHEARSALS @ 3:40-5pm (Starting Oct 9th)

PARENT ASSISTANCE
We need family help with our show. Families attend brief meeting at 4:45pm on Tues. Oct. 16th in the front lobby. We will discuss what we need for the show.

STUDENT PICK UP: Families arrange pick up on Tues at 5pm.

MEMORIZED LINES: All students should have lines and cue line MEMORIZED by Mon. Dec.10th.

COSTUMES: Information regarding costumes is coming soon, stay tuned.

STORY: In the musical, Tevye and Golda are living in rural Russia in a small town where they are raising daughters. Although, it is a Jewish custom for matchmaker Yente to choose husbands for the daughters, his daughters want to marry someone of their own choice. Lazar Wolf is an older person their father has chosen for one of his daughters. Their friends are shocked by what the girls are doing. Tevye’s daughters fall in love with someone who is a poor, not Jewish, and one who is American. The peaceful officer, Constable, is a friend to Tevye’s family and tries to help them. The family finds out that they and their fellow Jews must leave their village. Throughout the musical, Tevye examines his Jewish beliefs and questions how he can walk the pathway of his faith when the world around him is changing.
