Theater Review Grades K-2
Do you love to be on stage? Do you enjoy being in plays and performing for an audience? Are you a funny actor, dramatic actress, or good singer? Be a summer enrichment star and perform in our summer musical. We will perform a show on the last day of summer enrichment. See you on the High School stage!

Sing Your Heart Out Grades K-5
Do you love to sing and dance? Are you funny and make people laugh? Would you like to learn fun songs and perform on stage with friends? Do you like singing competitions and love music? Sign up and have a great time singing and playing music games.

Writers’ Workshop Grades K-2
Love to write? Want to author your own creative story, poem, or newspaper/magazine article? This fun and exciting course is perfect for today’s budding author.

Cooking For Kids Grades K-2
Mix it up with a good book! Your child will celebrate great literature by creating yummy treats! This program incorporates literature, science, social studies and math with cooking.

Beginner Ceramics Grades K-2
Clay plus creativity equals fun learning! Come out and explore the many qualities of clay while creating some wonderful clay pieces by hand. Students will learn basic hand-building techniques such as the pinch method, coil method and slab method. All projects will be painted and glazed and ready to bring home at the end of the program.

Duct Tape Divas, Origami, Rubber Band Bling, & Tie Dye Mania Grades K-2
Spend 4 weeks creating duct tape crafts, rubber band jewelry, origami art, and tie dye clothes! Join the latest crafting crazes that are sweeping the nation! Lots of projects to wear and use. Great to keep for yourself or give as gifts! Please bring 2 white T-Shirts and 1 pair of white socks for this class.

Music Makers (K-2)
Music Makers is a class focused on creativity through musical performance for students K-2. Students will learn how to read and play rhythms on various percussion instruments and sing a variety of songs. Towards the end of the summer, students will perform with students in Ukulele 101 & Singer/Songwriter Workshop.

Basketball and Soccer Grades 3-5
Come out and play! Make new friends! Learn new skills or improve an old skill. Start by having fun and get physically fit by playing the game of basketball. Then develop your soccer skills including shooting, passing, and dribbling Games and contests every day. No experience or equipment required. Positive sportsmanship will be stressed.

Engineering with Lego, K’Nex, and other building materials Grades 3-5
Builders will construct and invent their own models based on famous buildings around the world including the Empire State Building, White House, London Bridge, Big Ben, Eiffel Tower, Seattle Space Needle, Taj Mahal, United Nations HQ, and more. Students will then research famous structures and use building pieces to design their own masterpieces!

Math Enrichment Grades 3-5
Get ready for the upcoming school year. The students will review math skills taught during the previous school year by engaging in hands-on activities and playing math games. A combination of Everyday Math games and other games will be utilized in this class. Students will also be given the opportunity to make and take Math games to reinforce skills introduced during the school year.

Movie Making Grades 3-5
Do you like new technology? If so, then this is the class for you! By the end of the summer you will be a camera expert with tons of videos to show your family and friends!

JuST (Jump, Stunt, Tumble) Cheer Grades 3-5
Make new friends and work together as a team! This cheer, dance, and tumbling class is designed to increase your physical strength, flexibility, and confidence! Focus on your motions in an exciting, fast-paced cheer routine and learn the proper techniques for jumping, stunting, and tumbling. Sneakers are required. No experience necessary. All are welcome!

Advanced Coding Grades 3-5*
Take your coding to the next level! Using the skills developed in prior courses, students will learn how to make several games in Scratch and then be challenged to create one of their own. *Prerequisite: Prior Scratch experience, preferably through NBTSchools EXPLORE afterschool or summer enrichment.

Students will explore science through different concoctions, crafts, and toys they will make. We will be creating sponge balls, gooey gunk, balloon fingers, ping pong blasters and so much more. Science can be so much fun!

Readers’ Workshop Grades K-2
Students will engage in language arts activities that will improve their reading and writing and prepare them for the new school year! Authentic and interactive activities will include: reading and writing in all genres, making connections, making predictions, inferring, asking questions and much more!

Students will learn the basics of the Scratch programming language, which is a free interface developed by MIT. Through the process of designing basic programs such as animations and interactive storied, students will develop problem solving and sequencing skills. After they get the hand of the program, daily coding challenges will keep them on their toes!

Singer/Songwriter Workshop (3-5)
Singer/Songwriter Workshop is a class focused on creativity through musical performance for 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders. At the start of the summer, students will set “performance goals” such as the name of songs they would like to learn, what genres they would like to study, and how they envision their performance. Each week will be dedicated to a specific genre. Throughout that week, students will listen to music from the genre, learn about musicians/composers from the genre and learn how to sing songs from the artist studied. Towards the end of the summer, students will work together to write a song and perform it with students in Ukulele 101 & Music Makers.

Maker Spaces Grades K-2
Children will explore different science, technology, engineering, art and math concepts while they make projects with wood, electronics, plastics, recycled materials and more! New concepts are introduced, plans made, and safety enforced. Most projects are collaborative in nature and are designed to help children to develop innovative and critical thinking skills.

Cartooning For Kids & Creating Comic Books Grades K-2
Express your creativity and learn cartooning essentials! This class will explore basic cartooning techniques and will offer more challenging methods for experienced students. After learning how to cartoon, you will get to experience the same creative process as professional comic creators as you create your very own unique character and learn how to tell a story with them! From character creation to essential storytelling components, this is Comic Book 101!

This course will give students an introduction to Robotics and Technology. Students will design and complete various projects including planes, catapults, and egg-drop landers! Students will design and build robots using the Lego NXT sets.

Ukulele 101 (3-5)
“Ukulele 101” is a music performance class for students in grades 3rd, 4th and 5th. Through the study of music theory, proper playing technique and song structure, students will learn how to play the ukulele throughout the summer. At the end of the summer, students will perform a song they wrote with students in Singer/Songwriter Workshop & Music Makers. No ukulele experience is required. Instruments available for students to borrow during class time.
