Lizard at the canyon #8122025

Lizard Spotting at the canyon….

Side-blotched lizards (Uta stansburiana) are common throughout the Grand Canyon and other arid regions of the Southwest. They are small lizards, typically reaching 5.3 inches in length, and can be identified by the distinctive dark blotch on their sides, near the armpit. They are frequently seen on the ground, often near rocks and shrubs, and are active year-round at lower elevations.
