My name is Ms. Perryman. I am the general/choral music teacher at Judd School. I look forward to an exciting musical year with your child! All Judd School 3rd Grade students learn to read music by playing recorders during their music class. The New Jersey Music Education Standards include learning to identify and read musical notation. 3rd Grade students will begin to learn to read music and play various songs in music class.
We will begin recorder instruction in music class the week of October 14th.
You are welcome to purchase a recorder for your child to use at home and practice if you’d like. See QR code below. Perhaps you may also have a recorder already from a friend or family member which students are welcome to use.
If you’d rather not purchase a recorder, students are welcome to use one of the music class recorders. Email (eperryman@nbtschools.org.) with questions.
