ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Loosely based on 1865 L. Carroll Novel/1951 Movie

CHARACTERS
NARRATOR-Introduces our show
ALICE-Very sweet girl with a big imagination; often gets lost
WHITE RABBIT-Very nervous, thinks he always late, messy clothes, Queen’s main assistant
DOORKNOB-Doorknob with a big attitude
THE GARDEN (Plants/Flowers) Very proud, gives Alice a hard time, don’t like weeds AT ALL.
TWIDDLE DEE AND TWIDDLE DUM –Best friends, like to outdo each other, very dramatic
CATERPILLAR Should have been born 50 years ago, loves meditating and interpretative dancing, calm
CHESHIRE CAT –likes to act crazy get people in trouble
MARCH HARE/MAD HATTER –They host an unending un-birthday party with tea where they never drink tea, very afraid of cats, like to laugh a lot, not helpful to Alice
QUEEN-Loud, somewhat scary, plays a croquet game that only she can win, likes to order people around and everything must go her way, afraid of cats, always yells “Off with your head”
AUDITION SCENE BELOW:
White Rabbit: Oh my fur and whiskers! I’m late just like two plus two are eight!
Alice: Don’t you mean 4?
White Rabbit: What are YOU doing out here? Run home this moment and bring me a fan! (They have a fan in their hand)
Cheshire Cat: Um… did you lose something?
White Rabbit: I BEG YOUR PARDON! ANYWAY, I’M LATE!
Cheshire Cat: Touchy, touchy!
Alice: Wait, you’re a cat who talks!
Cheshire Cat: Of course I speak. I am a Cheshire Cat.
Alice: Well, I just wanted to ask you which way I ought to go.
Cheshire Cat: Well, that depends on where you want to go
White Rabbit: Why are you here? Where is your house of cards?
Alice: WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
Cheshire Cat: Look at them.
White Rabbit: Don’t look at me.
Alice: Why not?
Cheshire Cat: Exactly. Look then walk.
Alice: Walk where?
Cheshire Cat: Where they did.
Alice: Which way?
Cheshire Cat: Can you stand on your head?
Alice: WHAT???
