GEPPETTO-Loving parent of Pinocchio from Italy

PINOCCHIO-Geppeto’s puppet; wants to be real; has nose issues;  has bad ideas

JIMINY CRICKET-Cricket with a big personality; knows alot, easily annoyed

STROMBOLI-Evil villain who directs shows and wishes harm for all…

LAMPWICK –Frenemy of Pinocchio, works for Stromboli

BLUE FAIRY–Helpful blue creature with a great sense of fashion

AUDITION SCENE:

GEPPETTO: Pinocchio?  Pinocchio!  Where are you?  Come home!  

JIMINY CRICKET:  We have to find Pinocchio!!!  I don’t need this drama.   

GEPPETTO:  Get out of here or I’ll get the bug spray!

JIMINY CRICKET:  Excuse me, I am NOT a bug.  I am a cricket!

GEPPETTO:  A cricket who talks?  Alrighty then. My puppet has no strings!

JIMINY CRICKET:   He has no strings?  That is impossible!

GEPPETTO:  Nothing is impossible if you work hard enough.  

JIMINY CRICKET:  That is fantastic!  

GEPPETTO:  He doesn’t always tell the truth.  His nose grows when he lies.

JIMINY CRICKET:  What is his name?

PINOCCHIO:  I’M PINOCCHIO! Are you a bug?! 

JIMINY CRICKET:  I am a CRICKEt and you are a loud puppet!

GEPPETTO:  Pinocchio, settle down or we may need to give your legs a rest. 

PINOCCHIO:  Not the legs! I need my legs to play red light green light!

GEPPETTO:  You need to treat others with respect!

PINOCCHIO:  But they say “long nose, longer than a garden hose?  It hurts.

GEPPETTO:  Yes, even if they hurt your feelings.

PINOCCHIO:  Oh ALRIGHT…..

GEPPETTO:  What should you say to our bug, I mean cricket friend… 

PINOCCHIO:  OK…. I’m sorrrryyyyy

GEPPETTO:  Pinocchio! Don’t make your Papa sad!

PINOCCHIO: I am sorry Papa. I just get so mad sometimes. I will try harder, I promise.
